Family gets free metal roof as part of ‘Covering The Community”

LEE COUNTY, MISS. (WCBI) – A Northeast Mississippi company makes Christmas brighter for one family who was in need of a new roof.

Reed’s Metals installed a metal roof, free of charge, on the home of Dale Moore as part of the company’s annual “Covering the Community” initiative.

That project allows people to nominate a local family each year who has made a difference in people’s lives.  The company provides a metal roof for the winner.

Moore is known for helping others and he currently cares for two great grandsons in his home.

“As someone who’s been in the shape these folks are in, who has struggled in my life, to be able to give back what God has blessed me with, the ability, speaks volumes for our Lord..  It’s good to help people in need,” said Kevin Nichols, of Cross Construction.

The roof is expected to last more than 40 years.  Nominations for “Covering the Community” will start next November.
