Fatal Accident Involving 18 Wheeler Under Investigation

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A tragic accident on Thanksgiving is under investigation.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troopers, say one person was killed in a crash on Highway 45 Alternate.

It happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 45 Alternate near Lenoir Loop in Monroe County.

Troopers say an 18-wheeler and SUV both driving in Southbound lane collided.

Brandi Bishop, 42, of Aliceville, Alabama is who trooper say died in the crash.

She was pronounced dead on scene.

MHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
