Fire crews battle blaze at abandoned Columbus home

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- A Columbus house fire is under investigation.

Firefighters responded to the fire early Tuesday morning on the corner of 4th Avenue and 4th Street North in downtown Columbus.

Thick smoke could be seen from Main Street. Columbus police officers on the scene said the fire broke out at an abandoned home.

Firefighters would not comment on what started the fire.

No injuries are reported.
