Firefighters Fight Flames At A Eupora Business

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) – A fire broke out at a downtown Eupora business Saturday night.

Eupora Fire Chief Mitch Jackson says Bright Ideas and Second Chances caught on fire around 9:20 p.m.

The Eupora Fire Department along with the Walthall Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

Jackson says the blaze started in between the thrift store’s roof and attic area.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading, as they worked into the early hours of Sunday morning to put it out.

The fire chief says they believe it was an electrical fire, but the cause is still under investigation.

The building suffered moderate fire and water damage.

There were no injuries.
