‘First Hike’

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – With Christmas in the rear view mirror the focus shifts to New Year’s Day and the inevitable vow to to exercise more.

North Mississippi residents can make good on that starting January 1 with the annual First Hike sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks.

Tishomingo State Park is the closest one to this region hosting the one to two mile hike.

The hikers will follow the Outcropping trail and park staff members will lead the hike slated to start at 10 a.m.
