Flagpole Dedication In Honor Of 9/11

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- Locally, the American flag has become an important part in remembering nine-eleven..

Today in Aberdeen, there was a formal flag raising and dedication of a new flagpole for the town’s Acker Park.

The flag dedication was part of the “In Honor and Remembrance” ceremony being held at the park for 9-11.

The ceremony was sponsored by Woodmen Life.

Members and associates, honored those who lost their lives on that tragic day..

“This is just our way of giving back to our community and keeping this foremost in our minds…we don’t ever want this to happen again.” said Mary Carter.
