Flooding also problematic in Friendly City

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Saturday’s storm dumped a lot of water causing flood problems in different parts of Columbus.

Parks and roadways are completely blocked off.

Parts of Propst Park in East Columbus, look more like a river.

The water is almost as high as the utility poles on the highway.

The playground and park signs are nearly underwater.

Caution tape was put out to warn drivers not to use the park as a short cut.

The water should start to recede in 24 hours.
