Former Mississippi State WR Wilson Found Dead In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WCBI) — Former Mississippi State wide receiver De’Runnya Wilson was found dead in a home in Birmingham, Alabama, Tuesday.

Birmingham police are investigating Wilson’s death as a homicide.

Wilson spent three seasons at Mississippi State, leaving his mark on the record books. Wilson ranked tied for second in program history in touchdown catches (22), fifth in receptions (133), and sixth in receiving yards (1,949).

De’Runnya “Bear” Wilson was 25 years old.
