Fourth Annual Mulberry Festival

MATHISTON, Miss. (WCBI) — The 4th annual Mulberry Festival took place on Saturday in Mathiston.

Live music, food and entertainment was on display throughout the entire day for the community to enjoy. The festival takes place twice a year with one being in the fall season. Mathiston President Civic League Member Betty Jeffcoats mentioned to us that this was the biggest turn out in the four years that the festival has taken place. Jeffcoats and one of the vendor workers enjoyed seeing everyone in the community come out and have a wonderful time.

“What is so exciting is we get to see so many of the local community come out. Lots of family. All the children laughing and having a lot of fun,” said Civic President League Member Betty Jeffcoats.

“It’s been very exciting to see all the people come out in a small community get together, hear the word of God throughout music, congregate with one another. With me not being from here everybody welcomes you in a family.”>

This years festival had over ninety vendors working and for the community to enjoy.
