Golden Triangle man, former airport manager, charged by auditor

JACKSON, Miss.  (WCBI) – The former manager of the Columbus-Lowndes airport is once again facing criminal charges.

The state auditor now accuses Billy Scarbrough of stealing fuel from the city fuel depot.

Scarbrough is charged with Embezzlement for using his fuel privileges to take more than $14,000 in diesel fuel.

This marks the second time Scarbrough has been arrested.

That 2014 case says Scarbrough stole parts from a private plane housed at the airport, later selling them.

He’s now free on bond.
