GTR Airport Director Lands Key Appointment

Columbus, Miss –– Governor Phil Bryant recently appointed Mike Hainsey, the Executive Director of the Golden Triangle Regional (GTR) Airport, to the Board of Directors for the Aerospace Alliance, a multi-state organization designed to establish the southeast region as a world-class aerospace and aviation corridor. The Alliance’s four member states – Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana – share the goal of promoting the region’s common assets and excellence in the aerospace industry to take advantage of opportunities to grow this sector in the region.

Hainsey will join with business and economic development professionals to represent Mississippi as the Alliance continues to help bring aerospace and aviation industry to the state. During his tenure at the GTR Airport the area has seen unprecedented growth, including the establishment of three major aerospace companies on the airport property.
