Guilty Plea In Illegal Hunting Case
ABERDEEN, MS ( WCBI) – A Booneville man avoids jail time following his guilty plea to violating federal game laws. Christopher Lee Dickerson Thursday pleaded guilty to a four count indictment accusing him of illegally taking Whitetail Deer.
Dickerson admitted in Aberdeen Federal Court that in both 2014 and 2015 he killed a deer in Kentucky and brought it back to Mississippi. He also said that one two occasions in 2014 and 2015 he illegally killed a deer on Army Corps of Engineer property in Prentiss County. Dickerson will serve one year probation and surrender all hunting licenses and rights for a year. He must also pay $2,500 in fines and court assessments.
