Video: Gun Signs Removed in Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The door at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse is a little less crowded, at least for now.

The Board of Supervisors received a certified letter in the mail from the Attorney Generals office telling them to remove the no guns in the building sign.
The letter says the sign does not comply with Mississippi Code because it does not explain that sign does not apply to people with open carry or enhanced carry licenses.

The county is looking to replace the sign, but will research what exactly needs to be said before putting one back up.

The letter also applies to the sign at the County Health Department and the Department of Human Services.
