HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Hamilton School will soon be home to a playground that every child can enjoy.

The Parent Teacher Organization kicked off their ” What About Me?” playground initiative Tuesday (4-16).

Groundbreaking will come in June.

It should be finished by August.

The goal is to replace old equipment with a handicapped-accessible, modernized playground.

Features will include sensory panels, which cater to the needs of children with autism and Down syndrome, and a rolling table for kids in wheelchairs.

Hamilton students, Monroe County, the Gilmore Foundation, Joey  Ferarro and  Brickerton Day Spa all made sizable donations to the project.
