Heat to blame for Winston County death

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- In Winston County a woman has died due to the extreme heat, according to Scott Gregory, the Winston County Coroner.

The Winston County coroner says a 74 year old woman was mowing her yard when she had an apparent heart attack.

She did have an extensive health history, but it’s believed she got too hot while outside around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

She was rushed to the emergency room where she was pronounced dead.
