Holocaust Survivor Shares Story at Ole Miss
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)- A Holocaust Survivor delivers an inspiring story and message to students, faculty, and staff at Ole Miss.
Marion Blumenthal Lazan, endured six and half years in concentration camps, during World War II.
Lazan spoke in front of a large crowd at Ole Miss, Wednesday. She talked about determination, faith, and hope, while taking the audience through her experiences.
Lazan says she hopes her story will help people learn from history.
“It’s the lessons learned from that dark period of our history that are is so important,” Lazan explained. “Be kind, good and respectful toward one another. That is the basis for peace. It’s so simple but so hard to receive.”
During her visit, Lazan signed copies of her autobiography, entitled “Four Perfect Pebbles.” She also spoke at public schools in Oxford.
