COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus High hosted the 4th annual “hoops for troops” event this year to raise money for families of soldiers overseas. Participants came out to play and help raise money for Family Revenues Group, an organization that vows to take care of those who defend their country. Last year they raised 75 hundred dollars for the cause and this year they’re hoping to raise 500 more dollars. The best hoops players won 1st place and 2nd place trophies.This is the 2nd time the event has been held at Columbus High School.
