Hot This Week, Slim Rain Chances

Hot weather continues this week with highs in the mid to upper 90s each day. Heat index values could be over 105° in many areas. Rain chances will stay relatively low for the next few days.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Clear and calm, but muggy. Lows near 70 with calm winds.

MONDAY: Very hot and humid. Temperatures will be into the mid and upper 90s by the afternoon hours, possibly close to 100 farther south. Heat index values will be in the triple digits area-wide. Plenty of sun, but a stray sprinkle is possible. Most of us don’t see any rain.

TUESDAY: Very much the same story. Hot, humid, and sunny with a chance for a very isolated shower. Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values will once again be over 100°.

WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: Hot weather continues through the middle and end of the week with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Lots of sun with little to no relief in the way of rain expected, though a quick shower can’t be ruled out. The best chance for any rain would be on Friday, but even then, the chances are slim.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Temperatures drop slightly as we go to the weekend, but highs will still be in the 90s across the area. Chances for showers and maybe a storm or two will increase especially going into Sunday. Even then, this activity will be scattered in nature and not everyone will see rain.
