Hotel Chester offers housing program for MSU students and faculty

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Hotel Chester in Starkville is offering a deal to students and staff at Mississippi State who don’t want to sign a year-long lease for an apartment.

MSU students and faculty can sign up for a three month lease program from August-October.

The hotel is offering dining service for those in the program at a discounted rate.

Services like internet, cable, and utilities are all included in the monthly rent.

Owners say they will require masks in and out the lobby and daily temperature checks.

As of now, there are 19 rooms available.

” We’re helping some people who aren’t exactly sure of what the outcome of all of this is going to be at the end of the fall semester. We’re going to have to take their temperature everyday and make sure they’re good. If we find there’s a problem, we’ll isolate them in a different room that doesn’t have access to the building,” said Hotel Chester Co-owner, David Mollendor.
