Harassing phone calls keeping ringing in to a Columbus business

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Police need help identifying a man’s voice, who has made nearly a thousand harassing phone calls to a local business.

In this audio recording, only the callers voice can be heard.

The unknown number and person started calling the business back in September, but even more calls have been made recently.

The man calls numerous times a day and makes sexual comments to females who answer the calls.

Police Chief Fred Shelton said the calls are unnerving for employees and also disrupt business operations.

The business isn’t being named, but is helping with the investigation by putting recorders on its phone lines.

The department is asking for people to listen to this clip to see if they recognize the voice.

The harassing calls are against the law and could land the mysterious caller behind bars.
