Icy Conditions Leads To Hundreds Of Crashes

AREA WIDE, (WCBI) – Snow and ice from our most recent winter storm this week covered almost every highway in Mississippi.

Tuesday and Wednesday troopers investigated 236 crashes across the state.

There were more than 600 calls for service.

Most of those calls were for vehicles that slid off the road or stranded drivers.

Snow turning to ice is being blamed for most of the accidents.
