Inclusion and diversity hailed at Airbus’s ‘Festival of Cultures’

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Inclusion and Diversity.

Those two words were the focus today at Airbus’s Festival of Cultures.

The Columbus company celebrated the different cultures of the area and their workforce at the event today.

International students from Mississippi State joined local Lions Club members and Airbus employees for several presentations.

Event organizers say the aim is to shine a light on the diversity represented at Airbus.

“Airbus is very diverse and we have multiple nations represented here at Airbus Helicopters here in Columbus. Countries such as France, Germany and Japan.” Airbus’s Roy Sweeney explained, “We have people here from those countries who work with us and we need to know how they are, how they operate, how they work here to help us to be diversified.”

Attendees got to partake in delicious food from around the world and see various arts and crafts as well.
