Indictment issued in 2018 Itawamba County slaying

ITAWAMBA COUNTY (WCBI) – A million dollar bond and a March 20th arraignment await an Itawamba County man accused of killing his wife.

22 year old Avery Underwood was indicted on murder charges by the most recent Itawamba County grand jury . He is suspected of strangling his 19 year old wife Destiny Underwood to death. Deputies were called to the couples home on Footney Browne road on June 5th 2018. The March 20th court appearance will be Avery Underwood’s official arraignment on the murder charge.
