LAMAR CO., Ala. (WCBI) – The investigation into a deadly Lamar County, Alabama shooting continues today.
Sheriff Hal Allred says 23 year-old James Clifton Merchant was shot after getting into an argument with a woman.
Merchant and the woman have a child together.
The shooting happened on Kingville Drive, in the Detroit area, on Friday evening.
Merchant was taken to a Hamilton hospital and later transferred to Tupelo. That’s where he died.
