Investigators are working to find out if two investigations are connected

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Now, Lowndes County investigators are trying to determine if the three county chase suspect, Jacob Ray Conn, is tied to an arson and burglary investigation.

Sheriff Mike Arledge says there was a fire at P & R Scrap on Highway 45 on Sunday morning.

Later that evening, deputies were called about a burglary.

Monday morning, there was another fire call at P & R Scrap.

About 20 minutes later, there was a report of a car fire near the business.

Investigators are not saying whether Conn is a person of interest, only that the crimes are under investigation.

Other law enforcement believe the multi-county pursuit could be related to this investigation.
