Iron Warriors Bike Ride For A Good Cause

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Motorcyclists from several states met at the Tupelo Furniture Market today to raise money for a good cause.

The Iron Warriors are a non-profit group of mostly police and fire fighters who love to ride motorcycles. The Tupelo Chapter of Iron Warriors sponsored this event which is aimed at providing financial assistance to smaller volunteer fire departments who have limited resources. JD Owens is the secretary of the Tupelo chapter.

“We do a lot of anonymous donations primarily again just to the small local fire departments and again just listed out. We do a lot of children’s homes, Labonheur, St. Jude, we make donations throughout the year,” said Owens.

Owen says much of the money raised is through a silent auction of items generously donated by local businesses.

He says they have chapters throughout the country.
