From jailer to jailed in Tishomingo County

IUKA (WCBI ) –  Tishomingo County Sheriff John Daugherty puts the cuffs on on of his own.

33 year old corrections officer Rodney Fisher , Junior is charged with sneaking drugs and tobacco into the Tishomingo County jail.   Daugherty says he had been watching Fisher for the past few weeks after being tipped off that Fisher was swapping cash for contraband.    The sheriff says the exchange is dangerous because often inmates will use tobacco as a way to pay other inmates to attack a jailer or deputy.    Fisher was fired immediately after he was arrested.
