Keep Monroe Beautiful Looks Back, Ahead

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Things are popping up all over Monroe County. And a lot of volunteers are responsible.
Those volunteers and their community and business partners were recognized Thursday during Keep Monroe Beautiful’s luncheon. The annual event gives the group a chance to look back on what it has accomplished in the last year and what is planned for the coming year.

This spring, the group only has to look around the county and hundreds of tulips and other flowers to see the difference it is making.
“We are going to be doing some clean ups. So far this spring we’ve planted more of our tulip bulbs all over the county. Every district in the county has flower bulbs and they are blooming. They are very beautiful,” said Keep Monroe Beautiful Executive Director Edna Cox.
Dedicated volunteers and business and government sponsors also recognized. at today’s event.
