This program enables teacher to provides local students, who many not receive food everyday, with a meal to take with them every weekend. The golf tournament was open to the community and the event was months in the making. Kiwanis Vice President, Dr. Tommy Fugett says is was all worth the time and effort.

Kiwanis Vice President Dr. Tommy Fugett says,”So we felt like that was a good cause for our club. It meets our purpose for serving the kids in the community directly and trying to make sure these kids don’t go under fed.”

David Gouther a participant in Saturday’s tournament says,”We decided to come help them. They took a lot of effort to put on this tournament and it’s going to the kids… we just get to help the kids out.”

The event had over 32 sponsors and 10 golf teams participated for the first year…
