The state’s top court rejected claims that numerous errors were made in the 2010 trial . Flowers counsel says the state did not prove he killed Bertha Tardy, Robert Golden, Carmen Rigby and Derrick “BoBo” Stewart. His lawyers also argue eyewitness identifications were illegally allowed in trial and that black jurors were purposely excluded from the jury pool. Today’s ruling is connected to Flowers sixth trial in the case. Five prior trials either ended with convictions which were overturned or declared mistrials.
