Learning Center’s Columbus Grand Opening

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- After taking years of requests, Happy Start Learning Center has opened its third location.

Situated in Columbus, the early childhood learning center is taking the place of Young Christian Academy.

Learning centers like Happy Start can boost area children’s academic achievement early on.

According to owner and executive director, Gloria Jones, that’s what sets her center apart from day cares.

“We are a learning centers. We make sure that our children excel and we’re learning. We do development for each child, specific age development from infants to toddlers to preschoolers to after schoolers. So therefore we prepare them for when they leave us they are kindergarten ready,”said Gloria Jones.

The grand opening ran Monday, February 19th from 3 to 6 p.m.
