Lee County Crash Kills One, Sends 3 Children to Hospital

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is dead after two cars crash in Lee County on Sunday afternoon.

It happened on County Road 300.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Department says one car had four passengers, including three children and the driver who was killed.

Two of the children were airlifted to LeBonheur in Memphis, Tennessee, and one was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

The department says one car was traveling west and the other was traveling east.

One of the cars went into the oncoming lane and struck the other car head-on.

The accident is still under investigation.
