Lee County Justice Court Race Unresolved

TUPELO, MS (WCBI) A race for justice court judge in Lee County is far from over.

Tuesday evening, results showed Republican Phyllis Dye had narrowly defeated incumbent Sadie Holland for the District 3 Justice Court Judge position.
However, when workers at the circuit clerk’s office were going over the numbers early this morning, they found irregularities in four precincts.
Lee County Circuit Clerk Joyce Loftin says results were doubled in three precincts, while the numbers were tripled in one precinct.
As of today,  Incumbent Sadie Holland has a 57 vote lead over Dye, however, there are still close to 200 affidavit ballots to count.   Those will be counted Friday.  In the meantime,  Loftin and her staff are waiting to hear from the software company that handles the county’s voting machines.
