Lee County Sheriff’s Office warns about fake post on social media
LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lee County Sheriff’s Department is warning the public about a fake post that is circulating on social media.
The post shows a picture of a young woman lying in a hospital bed and states she was robbed, stabbed, and left on the side of the road.
The fake post said the woman was in a coma and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department needed help identifying her.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, this is not a case they are working on or are familiar with.
The post was created in October of this year.
