Lee County woman accused of impersonating ABC officer

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An unusual and illegal way of stocking the liquor cabinet landed a woman in jail.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said Alicia Mone’ Brooks, 27, was charged with Impersonating an Officer.

Brooks was picked up Monday after an area liquor store reported Brooks was in the store claiming to work for the State Alcohol Beverage Control Commission.

The suspect would tell the store owners she was there to seize certain types of liquor from the shelves.

Bond was set at $1,000 on the felony charge.
