COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A little girl’s dream to go to Disney World is coming true thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Caledonia Elementary student, Saniya, has been battling cancer since she was a little over a year old.
October marked three years since she’s been in remission.
On Friday, she found out Make-A-Wish is granting her wish to go to Disney World.
To celebrate, a limo picked her up from school and took her to Smackers for a delicious treat with Minnie Mouse.
Her parents say they couldn’t be more grateful.
“It means a lot, you know? I’m glad that they got something surprised for her and that we’ve made it so far, that she has made it. She’s cancer free and I thank God, St. Jude, and all of the people at Make-A-Wish, and for everything. Everything from my heart you know, to her,” says her father, Jimmie Roby.
The family will take their Disney trip next month.
