Local Community Helps Police Make Theft Arrest

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Helpful neighbors and a security system help bust an accused an accused thief.

37 year-old James Lee Lewis of Steens is charged with grand larceny.

Lowndes County investigators believe Lewis stole a 2016 ATV, a zero turn mower, and a generator.

Through interviews and video surveillance, deputies were able to track down Lewis.

Most of the property has been recovered.

Lewis’ bond has not been set.
