Local Rescue To House Pit Bulls Recovered From Fighting Ring

COLUMBUS (WCBI)- A Columbus based pit bull rescue group will be receiving 11 of the 32 dogs saved from a fighting ring in Madison County.   Shaw Pit Bull Rescue is taking in the dogs starting Thursday.  Law enforcement found the animals after residents heard the fights in a wooded area of Madison County.   Animal rescuers say the housing conditions of the dogs were among the worst they have ever encountered but for the most part the dogs themselves are timid but appreciative of the attention they are now receiving.   If you would like to assist in helping cover the costs of the emergency rescue you can go to shawpitbullrescue.com or visit the Shaw Pit Bull Rescue page on Facebook.
