Long Time CPD Officer Passes Away

COLUMBUS, MS (WCBI) -A former Columbus police officer dies this morning at his home after an extended illness.

61 year-old Mike Griffin left the force in July because of his health.

He had been with the force 21 years.

During Griffin’s time at CPD he was an investigator, instructor and shift commander.

Griffin lived in Monroe County.

He was also a Marine.
