Louisville Mayor Returns From Washington

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Louisville Mayor Will Hill is back from his trip to the nation’s capitol. He joined hundreds of other mayors from across the country who took their concerns to the President.

Hill says the meetings were encouraging, and there must be open communication between federal, state and local leaders.

“We, just like everybody else, we have continued needs, so we’ve got to keep communicating what our needs are, our problems or the perceived problems we may have, and getting approvals to continue the funding, and just working together. The emphasis this week was that local government is where the rubber meets the road, and to hear that this week, aside from all else was encouraging,” said Mayor Hill.

Hill says it was an honor to be the only mayor representing North Mississippi in Washington.
