Lowndes Co First Responders Debrief After Storm

[syndicaster id=’6298647′]LOWNDES COUNTY, MISS. (WCBI-TV) – Lowndes County E-M-A, the Red Cross, Sheriff’s Office, and a number of other first responders came together to share the latest information from Thursdays severe weather.

According to E-M-A director Cindy Lawrence, 28 structures were affected by the storm, one a total loss.

The hardest hit area was the Lakeover subdivison in New Hope.

Roads are reopen, but emergency personnel ask by-standers to keep the area clear so they can continue their clean-up.

A local emergency declaration has been declared for the area, but there is not enough damage for a federal declaration.
