Lowndes County Jail Administrator Retires

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Adult Detention Center’s jail administrator has retired.

Rick Jones’ retirement was effective Thursday.

Sheriff Mike Arledge confirmed Jones’ retirement.

Arledge expects to publicly release staff changes at the sheriff’s department next week.

Several jailers were punished after the escape of Delvin Moore on September 2nd from the Lowndes County jail.

Moore remains on the run.
