Lowndes County Log Truck Fire

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A blowout leads to a large fire that destroys a log truck.

The truck went up in flames on the Highway 82 off ramp to Highway 45 South.

Emergency crews say the fire started after the blowout.

The exit was closed while District five volunteer firefighters and Columbus firemen put out the blaze.

Heavy black smoke could be seen for miles.

Logs on the Washington Logging truck were also damaged.

No one was injured.

State troopers are investigating the incident.
