Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office holding fundraiser for Sgt. Prescott

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – They serve and protect every day.

This time, Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputies need your help.

A fundraiser for Sgt. Tammy Prescott will be held at the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department. You can drop by anytime Friday beginning at 8 a.m.

Many area residents know Prescott from her work in the community, specifically with campers at Camp Rising Sun.

Prescott was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Proceeds from the bake sale and silent auction on Friday will go to help with medical expenses.

The sheriff’s department is located at 527 S Martin Luther King Jr Dr in Columbus.
