Lowndes County voter registration changes

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Circuit Clerk’s office announced four voter precinct changes.

Circuit Clerk Teresa Barksdale said her office has also mailed out over 9,000 new voter registration cards.

However, they’ve received about 1,500 of those cards back.

Barksdale wanted everyone to make sure your address is up to date in her office and that you get your card before the August primary.

“The university precinct is still the University precinct but they will be voting at the boy scout building like I said, which is in the Farmer’s Market parking lot. Hunt and Propst Park precinct is now voting at the Stephens Chapel Church Fellowship Hall,” said Lowndes County Circuit Clerk Teresa Barksdale. “The National Guard precinct is voting now at South Side Missionary Baptist Church. Union Academy precinct is now voting at the 15th Street Church of God which is just right across the street.”

The last day to register to vote before the primary elections is July 8.
