Mama Dickey’s Italian Beef

Mama Dickey is in the house to share her famous Italian Beef Recipe!  It’s the perfect holiday meal or even great for parties!

Ingredients:
3.5-4 lbs of Beef Bottom Round or Rump Roast
5 tbsp real lemon juice from concentrate
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp oregano
1/8 tsp fennel
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 bay leaves
***adjust seasonings to taste.

Directions:
1) Trim off excess fat from meat.
2) Place meat in crock-pot.
3) Pour lemon juice evenly over meat.
4) Sprinkle evenly with seasonings.
5) Add 3 bay leaves on top of meat.
6) Cook low for 6-8 hours until cooked.
7) Place meat on cutting board.
8) Shred meat by pulling/slicing.
9) Place meat back in crock-pot to reheat.

How to serve:
– Serve on hoagie roll with “au jus” on side
– Serve on flatbread/tortilla with favorite toppings
– Serve on salad with toppings/dressing
