Man Arrested On Aggravated Assault Charges

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is arrested for cutting another man.

Columbus Police arrested Clarence Henry Tate Thursday on charges of aggravated assault stemming from a May 19th incident, when Tate allegedly assaulted a 52-year-old man by cutting him at his home on MLK around 8:00pm that night.

The victim was taken to the hospital where his injuries were treated and then released.

Tate and the victim knew each other.

He was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and remains in jail.
