Man Arrested for Oxford Kidnapping

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)- A man is accused of holding a woman against her will in Oxford.

Alan Clay,23, faces one count of kidnapping. Officers were called to University Trails, after an alleged assault and kidnapping, Tuesday.

When they arrived, witnesses described the suspect,  his vehicle and the victim. A short time later, investigators found Clay’s vehicle parked, with no one inside. Officers then began searching for the victim’s car, and that’s when they spotted the suspect. They found him riding in another person’s vehicle at the scene.

A traffic stop was made, and Clay was taken into custody. The victim drove to Marshal county, where she’s from, and was located there.

Clay’s bond was set at $25,000.
