Man Charged With DUI After Hitting Mississippi State Student

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Starkville man is jailed after allegedly running over a pedestrian Saturday night.

22-year-old Jaleen Jenkins is charged with aggravated DUI, driving on suspended license, and no insurance.

It all happened around 11 Saturday night on Blackjack Road near the Hardy Road intersection.

Emily Case from Virginia is a student at Mississippi State, Oktibbeha County deputies say Case was taken to O-C-H then flown to Jackson where she remains in critical condition.

Jenkins is being held pending an initial court appearance Monday.
