Man Charged With Felony Fleeing
PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Prentiss County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Tupelo man who fled from officers at roadside safety checkpoint.
On Tuesday night, 26-year old Teddy Raricus Cobb fled from officers after he stopped his vehicle and fled on foot, leaving behind a small child in the car.
According to Sheriff Randy Tolar, officers pursued Cobb to the intersection of Industrial Park Road and North Fifth Street in Baldwyn.
Officers found a loaded pistol that Cobb left behind while fleeing.
Cobb is charged with felony fleeing, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, along with misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, and no drivers license.
Cobb remains in custody with a $7,500 total bond.
